Autumn is painting the world in vibrant colors, and Isaac and Izzy want to give back to their favorite magical maple tree. A normal present won’t do, though. They want to give him the sweetest gift of all—a friend!

But are all the efforts of the kids and the animals who live near the tree enough to create a bit of magic…or will the Sugar Maple have to lend them a helpful branch once again?

Great series of books for kids all ages !
My two boys (8 and 10) really enjoyed the books from this series (Isaac’s Ice Cream Tree, Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House and Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples).
The drawings are amazing and the story is touching and funny and my kids could relate to the characters.
After we read the first one with them, the next night, they asked for the second one, and then the third one 😉

Of the three books in this series, this is my favourite. I feel like the story line is less confusing and the usage of the word “friend” in reference to the tree seems more natural. This book can also be good for talking about colors in comparison to fruits and learning the colors of the rainbow.

As with every one of these books, the illustrations in here are my favourite part. I LOVE all the colors of the leaves.

My young sons and I read this book together, and they loved the bright colors, cute animals, and the magic of the tree. I loved how the story showed the children showing their love and gratitude for their tree by giving back to it. This is a really cute story of love, kindness, and giving. Our family would definitely recommend this book!

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Isaac and Izzy are feeling sorry for their friend the magic maple tree. They try to think of ways to give their tree a tree friend. Angela Henderson teaches colors as well as some tree propagation facts in the text of Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples. Readers/listeners will also be reminded about the importance of friends.

Rachael Cumberland’s illustrations complement the text well. They are bright and colorful and give another opportunity for teaching/reinforcing color names.

Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples is a great read-aloud for preschoolers and early elementary children. It would make a good addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library.

I received a complimentary copy of Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples. This is my honest review.

    Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples

    Written by Angela Henderson
    Illustrated by Rachael Koppendrayer

Autumn has come, and Isaac’s sugar maple is losing its leaves. Isaac and Izzy want the sugar maple to have a tree friend and, with the help of their animal friends, try to make it happen. But how do you grow another magical sugar maple? That’s going to take a little bit of thought, but Isaac and Izzy are sure to come up with something. But they just may need a little magical assistance from the sugar maple.

This series of books is aimed at younger readers who are just starting out on their own with a little bit of assistance or for just starting out readers who will read along with mom, dad, or anyone willing to have an open lap and willingness to read out loud. Cute, colorful illustrations complement the story and add to its charm.

This is a companion book to Isaac’s Ice Cream Tree and Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.

This third book with Isaac and his special Sugar Maple tree is another sweet story that’s filled with colors, animals, and the joy that comes from friendship. Author Angela Henderson never fails to incorporate learning into her entertaining stories and the illustrations by Rachael Koppendrayer are gorgeous. Grab a copy of Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples and share the magic with your little ones!

I received a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review.
