With summer painting the world in vibrant colors, Isaac decides it’s time for some special fun with his favorite Sugar Maple. But his plans for a tree house turn out to be a spectacular…failure. And the animals who call the tree home are in a tizzy over it too.
Isaac doesn’t understand why his tree isn’t providing some of its magic…until it delivers the most magical help of all: a new friend!
This whimsical tale of delight, discovery, and new friendships is as sweet as iced donuts and will bring even more joy.

As a retired 2nd grade teacher, I enjoyed reading the story of the magic Sugar Maple. The children I’ve read it to and neighbors I have shared it with enjoy it, too. The story is intriguing and the illustrations depict it in a fun, colorful and imaginative way. I am enticed by all the little creatures the illustrator has half hidden on each page.
Rachael Koppendrayer is an exceptional artist bringing the characters to life.

Great series of books for kids all ages !
My two boys (8 and 10) really enjoyed the books from this series (Isaac’s Ice Cream Tree, Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House and Isaac and Izzy’s Magical Maples).
The drawings are amazing and the story is touching and funny and my kids could relate to the characters.
After we read the first one with them, the next night, they asked for the second one, and then the third one 😉

The illustrations are the highlight of this book. I love the animals and the maple syrup bottle. The story line is cute, with two children trying to build a tree house and frazzled little animals wondering what is happening to their home.
I feel it is a bit confusing with how the tree is called his “friend” and it almost seems to have a mind of it’s own, but not really. I love the potential of the story, though.

I read this book with my boys at bedtime. It was a fun story about two kids working together to build a tree house. I loved how the children came together to work as a team. My kids loved the magic of the tree and the mischievous animals. It was a sweet story that we would definitely pick again for our bedtime reads!
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Angela Henderson teaches a very small amount about animal habitat and which animals rely on trees – squirrels, birds, porcupines, and more. Isaac wants to spend time with his friend the tree so he attempts to build a treehouse. The animals do not like what he is doing so they make adjustments. Izzy has just moved in and wants to help with the treehouse. But their combined efforts don’t do much better. Until, the animals and the magical tree build a fabulous treehouse for Isaac and Izzy. Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House is a fun book which teaches a little bit about animals and a little bit about friends.
Rachael Koppendrayer’s illustrations complement the text well. The pictures of the animals are true to life so children can learn a bit about animals they may not already know.
Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House is a great read aloud for preschoolers and early elementary children. It would be a good addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library.
I received a complimentary copy of Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House. This is my honest review.

Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House
Written by Angela Henderson
Illustrated by Rachael Koppendrayer
It’s now summer, and Isaac has come up with a plan to spend more time with his sugar maple tree – a tree house. There’s just a little problem: what Isaac builds is nothing like a tree house, and his maple isn’t magically fixing it. And Isaac’s “tree house” isn’t making the animals who live in it happy.
The next day, Isaac gets something even better than a tree house – a new friend.
This is a cute read that does eventually have a little magic thrown in, but the main focus of this picture book is friendship. The illustrations will appeal to young readers for whom this book is written. This is a fairly easy read that kids who are starting to read on their own should be able to handle with just a little assistance. This is a companion book to Isaac’s Ice Cream Tree.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.

This is another adventure with Isaac and his very special friend, the Sugar Maple tree that stands in his yard. It’s summer and Isaac decides that he needs a treehouse, so what better place to build it than his amazing Sugar Maple Tree? What he doesn’t count on is the number of animals who don’t want their home disturbed by Isaac’s new project!
Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House is a delightful new tale that’s both fun and educational! Children learn about different animals, and they also experience the joy of making new friends and working together as a team. Author Angela Henderson has a unique understanding of children’s lit and illustrator Rachael Koppendrayer adds the perfect touch with her colorful illustrations. Isaac and Izzy’s Tree House is another success for this winning team!
I accepted a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review.
